This is the text of my first message:
I have carefully followed (twice) the downloading/installation of the
Cygwin/Xfree86 programs.
After a successful install, and then running startxwin.bat, I get a
momentary Xwin, and an error message
to say the the file mxterm can't be found.
Before installing X, I did a full install of the Cygwin system and tools.
Below is the error message appearing in the final window after an attempted
start.
Can you possible shed some light on this for me please.

The system cannot find the file mxterm.

I wonder if anyone has any experience of this.
