I agree. While I can filter on the To|CC fields, within Outlook, this is a
client-only filter and will not filter the Cygwin messages until I download
them. Most of my mail correspondance is via dialup to my company and if I
don't check email frequently then I have to wait first for the messages to
download and then for the filter to move 100+ messages to the appropriate
filter. I am on several other mail reflectors, and in those they have a tag
on the subject line that I can search for which now becomes a server-based
filter. One example is the OpenView Forum International (ovforum). They
place a tag on the subject line that is [ovforum]. When I download my mail
those messages go to a different folder and I can read them later at my
leisure.

Subject: [OFF TOPIC] mailing list question
Would it be possible to add something to mail in order of being able to
filter them when they arrive in our client?
This list is very active and it would be great if we could class easily
the
incoming mail (not vertically, sure... ;-)).
I use outlook at work and it seems its filters capability are very
limited.
Could you add something to the title or something like that?
Regards,
