Can you hide the Xwin program?

I want to be able to hide the Xwin program, so it doesn't appear on screen.
I actually want to be able to run KDE apps from a Linux Server on my Win 95
machine using cygwin. But I want the apps to appear like Icons on the
windows 95 desktop. So you double click on one and it starts Kword, so I
don't want to see the Xwin program. Is there anyway to hide this?
Cheers
Miles
