Clipboard hack?

There have recently been messages to the list about cut-n-paste from/to X
and Win32. I see that it's no trivial task and it might be worked on in the
future. However, is there any trick or kludge to getting some kind of
clipboard support working with the current distribution? Even if it wasn't
pretty, it would be very helpful to me.
