Hi
I'm investigating some problems when connecting from XWin to xdm.
On one of my machines (Win95) the query failed with the error
message
XDMCP fatal error: Session declined No valid address
the reason seems to be an not completely initialized interface.
After compiling os/access.c with the extra define -DDEF_SELF_DEBUG,
XWin prints some additional info.
On Win2k the output of this section is
Xserver: DefineSelf(): ifname = lo, addr = 127.0.0.1
Xserver: DefineSelf(): ifname = eth0, addr = 192.168.26.212
Xserver: DefineSelf(): ifname = eth0, baddr = 192.168.26.255
On Win95 (the not working host) it's only
Xserver: DefineSelf(): ifname = lo, addr = 127.0.0.1
setting the -from does not work since this is only used in xdmcp
initalisation.
I want to know if someone got xdmcp working with win95 or if this error
occurs on other windows version too.
I also tracked the problem down to some functions in lib/xtrans/Xtrans.c
but since the machine i'm trying to debug is very slow I just wanted to
ask, if someone has an idea whats wrong here.
bye
