Uh, I should have read all of the thread before replying.

Well, ultimately it's your decision where you provide this stuff.  After
all, you're the one who did all the work and if you think that newlib is
a good place, then, so be it.  Personally I never used nor needed XDR,
but that doesn't mean it's useless for others.
