Please leave it in; PHP is a fairly popular offering in Ports (at least
according to my blog stats), and probably should be moved into the
distro already.

I'm not an Octave expert, but I thought the octave-forge package
provided those extensions.  Are there more available from other
locations, and how would they be installed?
