Have you noticed how I do it when I send cygwin announcements?

My preference is to make the user go through the unsubscribe information
prior to reading all of the "ChangeLog" info.  I think that someone who
wants to unsubscribe will find the information more easily if it is on
or near the first page of a message.  The cygwin-announce mailing list
has more subscribers than any other cygwin list and it has more than its
share of people with problems unsubscribing.

Eventually, I think we'll probably have some kind of script for
announcements that will format them in a semi-standard way.  Another thing
that someone suggested on the cygwin mailing list is to always make sure
that you mention what the package is when you make the announcement rather
than just assuming that someone knows what "binutils" is.
