Thanks Partha for replying. Yes you're right. I checked for arm-unknown-linux-gnueabi-gcc, this comes because I have selected glibc 2.7, also it come with glibc 2.6.1. About glibc ports, I think in this I have not used this option, but I have tried that option also, there also it give some error, different from this. I am assuming you are referring to "Use the Ports addon" Regards Vivek -----Original Message----- From: Acharya Partha [mailto:partha_acharya@yahoo.com] Sent: Friday, November 14, 2008 10:45 AM To: crossgcc@sourceware.org; Vivek Kumar Gupta Subject: RE: gcc ARM CPU's Vivek I think your target nomenclature should be arm-unknown-linux-gcc/arm-unknown-linux-gnueabi-gcc , also are you using glibc ports , pls let me know. regards partha --- On Thu, 11/13/08, Vivek Kumar Gupta <gkvivek@zilog.com> wrote: > From: Vivek Kumar Gupta <gkvivek@zilog.com> > Subject: RE: gcc ARM CPU's > To: crossgcc@sourceware.org > Date: Thursday, November 13, 2008, 4:26 AM > Hi All, > I am facing problem in compilation I am using Ubuntu 7.0 > and compiling > it for ARM. > In settings I have used glibc 2.7 and gcc 4.3.1 > I think glibc is supposed to support different arm cores. > It does not > seem to be a problem with glibc support.
