This works great. I did a sample build of an xscale configuration and am very pleased with the process. Great work!
Hildesheim, Germany - Pengutronix has released version 1.1.0 of the Open Source GNU toolchain build system OSELAS.Toolchain(). It can be used to build cross compilers for a variety of embedded Linux systems, the complete feature matrix and homepage of the project is on
http://www.pengutronix.de/oselas/toolchain/index_en.html
OSELAS.Toolchain() is one of the major components of Pengutronix' professional Open Source Embedded Linux Automation Services (OSELAS - http://www.oselas.com) and is completely based on the PTXdist build system, following the "executable documentation" paradigm.
The OSELAS.Toolchain() project aims at supplying a complete build system for recent GNU toolchains which makes it possible to easily test arbitrary (but modern) toolchain combinations and support the upstream projects (gcc, binutils, gdb, crosstool) with patches and bug reports. Additinally, it is a base technology for Pengutronix' commercial embedded linux projects.
This revision is a major bugfix & enhancement release; the highlights of this release include:
* first public release * support for a variety of toolchains (arm: eabi, oabi, NPTL, soft float, hard float, little endian, big endian, different kernel header versions; powerpc: 603e, 960; mips: R6000; x86: i586 and i686)
As we don't want to split the community in any way, we suggest that for discussions related to OSELAS.Toolchain() the crosstool mailing list is used, being the main community ressource for cross toolchain related topics. Please check the OSELAS.Toolchain() project page for how to find the crosstool mailing list.
