configuring glibc with "--enable-kernel=2.6.0" still causing errors

  back in december, i reported this error(?):

not surprisingly, it's still there and i still don't know what's
behind it.  anyone have a hint?  shouldn't i be able to adjust that
parameter without causing problems?  (i don't recall ever seeing a
followup to that post which is why i'm asking again.)
