error: static declaration of 'current_menu' follows non-static declaration

Hi,

Now that I have crosstool-0.38 built for powerpc-7450,
gcc-3.4.1 and glibc 2.3.3, I tried to build the Linux
kernel (2.6.8, the default demo-ppc7450.sh) using the
--linuxtest option to all.sh. I got the error in the
subject line above. I searched the list archives and
the web about this error and found the following
simple patch:

http://uclibc.org/lists/uclibc/2005-July/012187.html

and the following more elaborate patch:

http://www.uclibc.org/lists/uclibc/2005-July/012200.html

Is there a patch missing for kernel 2.6.8? What's the
best way to get around this problem?

Thanks for the help!

Ron McCall
