I m trying to build glibc-2.2.5. The cross-compiler i m using is gcc-3.3.3 targeted for a RISC base architecture.
I have configured the glibc using :-
../glibc-2.2.5/configure --host=xyz --without-gd --with-headers=/usr/home1/rinkal/Build_3.3/sources/KHeader/include --enable-add-ons --prefix=/usr/home1/rinkal/Build_3.3/xyzb/ --exec-prefix=/usr/home1/rinkal/Build_3.3/xyzb/ -v
I m getting error while building the glibc
gconv_conf.c: In function `__gconv_get_path': gconv_conf.c:525: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault
Stop right there. Upgrade your gcc. http://www.gnu.org/software/gcc/gcc-3.3/changes.html lists hundreds of problems fixed in gcc-3.3.6.
Alternately, you might want to try compiling glibc-2.2.5 with an *older* gcc, e.g. gcc-3.2.3. - Dan
