that's what i was thinking, too.  the last official release was
apparently 0.27.  so 0.28 would seem to be the next up, no?

Yes, except that there is a rogue 0.28-rc39 out there created by some vendor, and I want to leapfrog it. Plus I think it's worth getting away from the whole notion of 0.28, which metamorphasized a bit too much during its many months of existence. - Dan
