gcc instead of diab for pSOS on ppc?

Hi

At the company where I work we use an embedded ppc823 platform.
The OS we currently run is pSOS 2.5 and our compiler is Diab.

Has anyone here any experience and/or success in using gcc and other
GNU tools to replace the diab compiler toolchain?

I've successfully used gcc as a C compiler (configured as a powerpc-eabi
compiler) but have not yet been able to use the gnu linker and assembler.

Thanks in advance
  Hrafnkell
