Hi everybody, I am porting an embedded aplication from the highc compiler to GCC unter cygwin32. Thanks to Rob Taylors description, I found in the archive, I was able to get a working compiler. But now I encounter problems with the "_Reversed_endian" attribute the highc compiler offers for variables. Is there a similar feature for GCC ? It looks to me quite inefficient to change endianess by SW, as the PPC has built-in instructions for load/store using reverse endianess. Thanks, Ralf BTW: Did anybody manage to compile GCC under mingw32 ? I was able to compile binutils (don't know if it works), but compiling GCC failed finally with the file "collect2.c" using unix-functions kill, fork and pipe. -- GMX - Die Kommunikationsplattform im Internet. http://www.gmx.net ------ Want more information?
