Hi. I have a new OS called PDOS/386 which
is meant to be a 32-bit version of MSDOS.
It also has its own C library, PDPCLIB.
I am using binutils 2.14a with a target
of i386-aout.
I am able to run gcc 3.2.3 and “as” fine.
But “ld” is giving me this error:
Wow, has this message been sitting on an
email queue somewhere for 15 years?
I've been working on PDOS/386 on and off
since 1994. For whatever reason, when MSDOS
came out, and then the 80386 came out, no-one
came up with a 32-bit version of MSDOS. There
were only ever DOS extenders created. Now it
finally exists in a robust enough state to execute
gcc and "as", but not "ld" and "ar".
I am hoping to eventually have something
like Cygwin running, but it all depends on
getting "ld" working first.
BFN. Paul.
