Translatable string optimisation

$ grep 'mask, index, and destination' gas/config/tc-i386.c
  as_warn (_("mask, index, and destination registers should be distinct"));
 err_msg = _("mask, index, and destination registers must be distinct");

I know that "should" and "must" are not synonomous, but is it really necessary
to burden the translators with *both* of these two very similar strings?
