  Ah, that's the bit I didn't realise; it isn't until and unless a patch is
submitted to the FSF that it is assigned.  I over-read meaning into the
filename 'assign.future' (or whatever it's exactly called) and thought it
implied a kind of pre-emptive assignment of all future patches; thanks for the
clarification.  It just means that any patch *actually submitted* is
pre-assigned, right?
