I read your post as implying that arm-eabi was less important than
arm-elf. That is certainly not the case, in fact the opposite is true.
I'm not sure there is a simple answer as to which of arm-eabi and
arm-*-linux-gnueabi is most important. If either is in any way broken,
then IMO the release is broken.
