Upgrade to binutils-2.16.1 - receiving FAIL during make check

I tried to upgrade my binutils today from 2.15.91.0.2 to 2.16.1 (gcc
3.4.1, kernel 2.6.12.3).

Configure and make completed successfully, no errors or warnings.
However, make check returned the following:

Is this "normal"?

Thanks,
