Nice, although changing pic_offset_table_rtx on the fly looks a bit
hackish. :-) On the m68k we could even go a bit further, since we don't
need to set up the pic register just for doing function calls through the
plt.

That's really unfortunate, since it makes it unavailable in functions that
don't access any global data, which is probably more common in C++.
