this is quite strange: the changes are in ChangeLog but not actualy
applied to sources. look at the file "elf32-i386-fbsd.c" for example,
it should be in the source tree, but isn't. and all the hunks of
my patch do apply cleanly, performing changes that aren't commited
in the CVS tree.

whatever happened, let's fix it now :). i'm attaching an updated
patch for today's CVS. this one also fixes <binutils>/ltconfig, which
didn't have a GNU/FreeBSD entry to define libtool variables.

in case you want it, there's an updated ChangeLog entry in the header
of this patch.
