Hi Nick, Nick Clifton wrote:
There is a lot of discussion on the arm-linux mailing lists which binutils are working for arm-linux. I've read one posting that 2.13 is broken for arm. This was the reason to use 2.12.1. But I will try 2.13.2.Hi Dirk,I use the ld option -no-warn-mismatch to link together a hardware FP object and a software FP object for ARM (arm-linux-ld). If I use GNU ld version 2.11.2 (with BFD 2.11.2) everything is OK, but with GNU ld version 2.12.1 I get arm-linux-ld: ERROR: arch/arm/ramdisk/ramdisk.o uses hardware FP, whereas vmlinux uses software FP Is this a feature or a bug?
It is a bug :-( Can you try using the latest sources (2.13.2),
Dirkthe problem is still present there please could you submit a *small* testcase that reproduces the problem.
