I am running an SGI Indy under IRIX 6.5.5 and I d/l, compiled and installed
binutils. Now, every time I try to configure a new program I get:
/usr/bin/ld: unrecognized option '__do_global_dtors'
/usr/bin/ld: use the --help option for usage information
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
or
Configuring for a mips-sgi-irix6.5 host.
*** This configuration is not supported in the following subdirectories:
gas gprof
(Any other directories should still work fine.)
Created "Makefile" in /usr/people/kdevine/binutils-2.11.2 using "mh-frag"
/usr/bin/ld: unrecognized option '__do_global_dtors'
/usr/bin/ld: use the --help option for usage information
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
*** The command 'gcc -o conftest -g -O2 conftest.c' failed.
*** You must set the environment variable CC to a working compiler.
This only happened after I installed binutils. I have GCC 3.0.1 installed.
Any help would be appreciated,
Kevin
