- Subject: problems with 2 automakes
I have a problem, i want to use the KDevelop (which requires automake-1.4),
but most of my projects require automake >=1.6 . I do not wish to uninstall
KDevelop, which i have done before, to enable to use the automake-1.7 and
others...
most importantly, i want that the WANT_AUTOMAKE_1_6=1 env variable or the
version option in the configure.ac file works. i've tried to make this one
use the newest version, but it still uses automake-1.4 .
I can't hardcode that they should use automake-1.7 instead of the automake
executable in my autogen.sh script, because it's the idea that it should work
for anyone...
is there a way to make it work nicely?
TIA
