If you are registering a non-username top-tier namespace you may use the following template to request the addition of owner(s) and commiter(s) to the 'glibc' group (ability to commit to glibc and glibc-ports repository) from the sourceware.org Overseers:

Per <glibc project steward> approval on libc-alpha:

http://sourceware.org/ml/libc-alpha/<specific libc-alpha email>

I've been instructed to email you with a request to add the following sourceware.org usernames to the 'glibc' group.

<sourceware.org username> - <full name> (<optional employer>)

I am to be the owner of a new glibc tier-one git name space branch <your name space>/*.

<commiter name>, <commiter name>, and I are to be commiters to the second-tier branches in this name space.

We all have FSF copyright assignment on file with the FSF and understand the policies regarding contribution to glibc.

We all understand that we are to only commit changes to the <your name space>/* branches.

Thank you,

<your name>
